Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese system of enlightenment and method of healing, passed from master to student, that translates from the words Rei” and “Ki” meaning “universal life energy”. It was the discovered and developed in the early 1900′s by a monk, Mikao Usui, who endeavored to learn the Buddha’s method of healing through study, fasting and meditation. An experienced and attuned Reiki practitioner employs specific hand positions over the body, often inducing a trance-like meditative state which facilitates healing on energetic and spiritual levels. Reiki is done fully clothed.

Infrared Sauna
Unlike a traditional sauna, infrared saunas use FIR (far infrared rays) to heat the user rather than the air. If you have trouble tolerating a traditional sauna or steam room, you should try infrared! FIR heat provides many of the health benefits of natural sunlight without any of the dangerous effects of solar radiation. The light may penetrate up to 3 inches into the body. Saunas have long been known to improve circulation, detoxification and strengthen the immune system. The infrared sauna may be especially beneficial to those with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, SAD or a vitamin D deficiency.
